Snuggle Bunnies...

Hi Peeps...

Today, I'm sharing another one of those 'loved making' cards...  using the gorgeous little Snuggle Bunnies from My Favourite Things..  what a cute pair - I've been itching to colour them up since I received them, ok, I admit, a couple of months ago!  The card really made me smile when I'd finished it..  like I say... I loved making it and it turned out better than I'd hoped for!

I saw a card on the MFT blog by Stephanie Klauck using a similar layout but with different stamps - and it inspired me to use my Snuggle Bunnies in a similar way - so thanks Stephanie!  I love the layout so much, I may well use it again soon!  It's done by fussy cutting around the bunny's ears and head - then cutting a straight line along the rest of the white card.  See what I mean?

Materials Used:
Die - Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle
Paper - Pink Petticoat Pretty Little Hearts (no longer available)
Colouring - Copics
Bunny - E30/31/33/34/E50/51, R20
T-Shirt - B91/93/95
Teddy E50/51/53/57

Hope you like what I did and that you'll say hi to let me know you've been around...

Big hugs

Happy Birthday Emma!

Hi Peeps.....

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my lovely daughter Emma...  it was her birthday yesterday and we had birthday cake - yes......  believe it or not, handmade by me!  It's a while since I did much baking......  M&S is just so much easier to go buy something!

Back to the card.....  this was a bit of a labour of love.  I'd seen a gorgeous card by Faye using these balloon flower images a while back..  and had logged the idea to use.  I didn't have the die for the flowers, so each had to be coloured then fussy cut!  Eeek!!  Then the diecut letters.... each had to be diecut three times and layered one of top of the other to give some depth to the letters..  so you can imagine how long it took me and how glue-y I got!

I wanted to personalise the colours too - Emma her loves purples, lilacs and aquas... so that's what I chose.  I did struggle on how to design the card when I had all the bits together.....  I think I got a bit too close to it as I really did struggle then!

Materials Used:
Colouring - Copics
Deep Purple - V12/15/17
Aqua - B01, BG01, B05
Lilac - BV000/01/11
Teddies - E30/31/34

Now......... a bit of exciting news!!  I was so thrilled and uber happy to be asked to join the Design Team at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends!!!  I had to think about it for all of 0.5 of a second.......  before I bit Rhea's hand off by accepting quickly!!

If you click on the logo - you'll go straight to our Facebook Page where we'd love you to share your fabulous creations with like-minded people.  There's also fun weekends with prizes up for grabs... it's a wonderful place - and I'm so thrilled to be part of it!  The aim is to share, encourage and learn...

Right.... time for breakfast and for me to get into my 'no referendum news' bubble!!  I'm sick of hearing about it all!

Have a lovely day...
Big hugs

I would like to BE this little lady right now - what with all the doom and gloom going on in the media regarding the referendum decision for the UK to leave the EU.  I have turned all news off in this house - and the place is filled with music!!

Easy huh?  Noooooooo!!  My style is getting more CAS at the moment, so putting lace on made me scratch my head when it came to the design...   but I decided to go for an 'A Day For Daisies' image which is slightly lacy-ish...  and used some of my Maja Design papers.  I THINK I managed it...

Now.... we're off out over to Skipton today to have lunch with some lovely old friends...  the type that even though you haven't seen them for ages, you feel like it was only yesterday... Splashies!

Hi Peeps....

I'm here again with a DT card using another fab image from the June release at CC Designs.... this one is from the Roberto's Rascals Splashies set which can be found here.

I really enjoyed making this fun card - (ok I enjoy making them all!) - but this one gave me a chance to use my Distress inkpads  to create the background..  I got inky and loved it!

Now, the little boy needed to be swimming - so I had to create some water for him!   I used vellum so he could be seen through it - and I was happy with the result.

Materials Used:
Dies - CC Designs Make A Card #16 Summer (fish and waves)
Sentiment from same set
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11/70, R20
Hair - E23/25/29
Shorts - YG23/25
Flippers and Snorkel - BG01/06
Fish - Y38, YR04/14
White Sharpie Poster Paint Pen for bubbles

Hope you're all enjoying the slightly warmer weather.... I do wish it would warm up properly and show us some Summer - we've had enough rain for a while methinks!

Big hugs

Well, I spied some new Tiddly Inks stamps last Friday.... introducing a new character - Molly.   And PING (not pink!) - I fell for her BIG style!  I bought a couple and couldn't wait to get colouring........  and here's the result!  This is Molly Shares....  isn't she fabulous?  Lots of hair I know (YIKES!).....  but I'd seen a fabbie card using a different Molly by the lovely Faye - and I took inspiration from the hair colours she'd used - so thank you lovely lady!  I also did some fold shading on her skirt which was pretty scary too... but I think I got there......  at least, I'm happy with it.......
